The much-awaited Mahindra Thar Facelift officially launches today, arriving with substantial upgrades that make this iconic SUV even more capable and packed with features. The highly anticipated 2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift has officially hit the market, bringing with it a wave of excitement for adventure seekers and everyday drivers alike. Launched on October 3, 2025, this updated version of the popular three-door lifestyle SUV introduces a host of enhancements, focusing on greater comfort and modern features. Improved practicality, all while preserving its well-loved rugged essence. Mahindra has carefully refined the Thar, ensuring it remains a powerful off-roader but is now even more enjoyable for daily use.
The new Mahindra Thar Facelift is available across two main trims, AXT and LXT, catering to a wide range of preferences and budgets. Prices for this refreshed SUV start at an attractive Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the AXT RWD Diesel variant, making it a compelling choice in its segment. The top-tier LXT 4WD AT (diesel) variant is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the Mahindra Thar Facelift are now open both online and at dealerships across the country, with deliveries already in progress, allowing enthusiasts to get their hands on this feature-packed SUV without delay.
While the overall muscular and upright design of the Mahindra Thar Facelift remains familiar, subtle yet impactful changes have been made to its exterior, giving it a fresh and modern appeal. The front fascia now features a newly designed grille with a body-colored finish, which contributes to a cleaner and more integrated look. Complementing this are updated dual-tone bumpers at both the front and rear, adding to its robust character.
For those who love to make a statement, Mahindra has introduced two exciting new color options: Tango Red and Battleship Grey. These new shades join the existing popular colors like Deep Forest, Everest White, and Stealth Black. Galaxy Grey, providing more choices for personalization. The iconic circular halogen headlamps and the 18-inch alloy wheels on higher variants maintain the Thar's classic rugged identity. Practical additions for everyday convenience include a much-requested rear wiper and washer, ensuring clear visibility in all weather conditions. An internally operated fuel lid for easier refueling.

The interior of the 2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift has received significant upgrades, making the cabin more user-friendly and comfortable. Modern. The cabin now sports an all-black theme, which creates a sophisticated and sporty environment. A standout feature is the new steering wheel, borrowed from other modern Mahindra SUVs like the Thar Roxx and XUV700, which offers a more premium feel and includes controls for audio and cruise functions.
A major improvement comes in the form of a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This advanced system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keeping drivers connected on the go. It also features the updated Adventure Stats Gen II, offering real-time off-road data such as steering angle, engine temperature, altimeter, and pitch and roll angles. Mahindra has addressed crucial customer feedback by repositioning the power window switches from the center console to the doors, with the driver's side getting a one-touch up and down function.
