Maruti is reportedly developing its inaugural EV, and it's expected to launch by September this year. The upcoming EV from Maruti Suzuki is the electric version of the Vitara and was designed by taking inspiration from the eVX concept. Maruti has also showcased a production-ready model of its e-Vitara. Initially, the first electric car from Maruti Suzuki India was expected to arrive by the first quarter of FY26.
However, the automaker has announced a slight delay in the official launch and extended the debut date further. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is expected to launch in September this year, possibly benefiting from the festive season in the country.
