MG Windsor EV Launched at the price of ₹ 9.99 lakh

MG has finally launched its firts intelligent CUV at the starting ex-showroom price of ₹ 9.99 lakh. With some additional initiatives to promote electric revolution, MG is going to provide lifetime warranty for the battery only for the first customer. But customers can take benefit of free public charging for one year. 

MG Windsor EV will be available in three variants i.e. Excite, Exclusive and Essence. And four colors-- Turquoise Green, Pearl White, Clay Beige and Starburst Black. 

Specification and Features

Let's start with the exterior design of the electric vehicle, it has aeroglide design and at the front you get connected LED DRLs which they called Starstreak LED. In rear also you get connected LED Tail lamps and they call it Smartflow taillight. At side profile you have smart flush door handles. 

The MG Windsor EV's powertrain consists of a 30.8 kWh battery pack, which according to ARAI can provide 331 km of range on a single charge. The front wheels are driven by a single electric motor that has a maximum power output of 136 horsepower and a maximum torque of 200 Nm. With its new electric car, MG promises 30-80% SOC in 30 minutes thanks to DC quick charging.

Interior Features and Comfort

On the inside you get to see 15.6 inches of touchscreen infotaintment which is one of the largest in the segment and also you get 8.8 inches of digital instrument cluster. It offers ambient atmosphere lighting with 256 different colors according to your mood. For entertainment it has 9 speakers audio system powered by infinity. Also Wireless Charger and wireless android auto & apple car play. 

In terms of seating comfort you get an aero lounge seats with 135 degree reclination and ventilated front row seats. Other comfortable features that you get is Driver Armrest storage, 6 way Power Seat Adjustments, Rear AC Vents, PM2.5 Filter, and rear centre armrest with cup holder. 

If we talk about cargo space then it comes 604 litres of bootspace which is one of the largest in the segment.

There is no direct competitor of MG Windsor EV as it is the first Intelligent CUV in India but on the price front it will compete with Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.
