New Nissan Micra EV Interior & Powertrain Details Revealed
The entry-level Nissan Micra variant will feature a 40 kWh battery coupled with a 122 hp electric motor with 225 Nm of torque to deliver a WLTP-tested range of 308 km on a single charge.
Nissan has revealed more details about its all-new Micra, which will make its debut as an all-electric hatchback. The Japanese automobile manufacturer confirmed that the upcoming Micra EV will underpin the same AmpR Small platform that is offered in the Renault 5 EV; it's the first time a Nissan hatchback will not have an ICE setup.

New Nissan Micra EV Interior
The upcoming Nissan Micra EV will have a driver-focused dashboard with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a 10.1-inch instrument cluster. The center console is tuned for driver comfort and easy access to physical controls below the air vents. The interior of the Micra EV has a dual-tone finish that makes a pleasing environment inside the cabin.

Micra EV is also confirmed to get an electronic parking brake, wireless charging pad, 48-colored ambient lighting, and the latest generation Nissan-specific design touches, including distinctive upholstery and molded silhouette of Mount Fuji, for a more modern feel. The premium electric hatchback is said to have a 326-liter boot space capacity.

2025 Nissan Micra EV Powertrain
Nissan has revealed that the Micra EV will be available in two battery options. The entry-level variant will feature a 40 kWh battery coupled with a 122 hp electric motor with 225 Nm of torque to deliver a WLTP-tested range of 308 km on a single charge.
In comparison, the top-spec variant of Micra EV will receive a 52kWh battery pack configured with a 150 hp electric motor with 245 Nm torque capacity, offering a maximum range of 408 km on a single charge.
The 52 kWh battery pack variant gets 100 kW DC fast charging support, allowing the EV to charge 15-80% in 30 minutes. In both variants, there is vehicle-to-load functionality available.
Micra EV Exterior Design
The all-new Micra EV design is inspired by the Nissan 20-23 EV concept. It features compact proportions and an attractive design profile, including circular DRLs around the rectangular headlights, gloss black body cladding, blacked-out roof, and segmented circular taillamps. The hatchback electric also gets some silver inserts in the front bumper and upper window line and has 18-inch alloy wheels.
2025 Nissan Micra EV Launch
The upcoming Nissan Micra EV will be manufactured at Renault's Douai plant in France and could launch in select European markets by the end of this year. While the launch of this hatchback EV is not confirmed in the Indian market, it is expected that the automaker can launch a new compact MPV based on Renault Triber and a mid-size SUV based on Renault Duster in India.
