Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has taken a significant step in its expansion strategy with the inauguration of a new dealership and a state-of-the-art service workshop in Nashik, Maharashtra. This initiative underscores Nissan’s commitment to bolstering its presence in high-growth markets across India, providing customers with enhanced access to sales and service facilities.
The newly launched Highgear Nissan Showroom spans 4,500 sq. ft., while the adjoining service workshop covers an impressive 7,500 sq. ft. Both facilities are equipped with cutting-edge amenities and staffed by a team of highly skilled, well-trained, and passionate professionals, ensuring a premium customer experience.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Mr. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India. Speaking at the event, Mr. Vatsa emphasized, “Nashik is an important market for us in the state of Maharashtra and will play a crucial role in pushing our growth story forward in the state and India. With the introduction of Highgear Nissan’s showroom and workshop, we are bringing our much-loved SUVs, leveraging Japanese DNA and cutting-edge technology closer to our customers in the region. This expansion reflects our ongoing efforts to provide best-in-class products and services in the city.”
The opening of the Nashik facility aligns with Nissan’s broader strategy to strengthen its network in India, which currently includes 18 touchpoints across Maharashtra (8 showrooms and 10 service workshops). Nationwide, Nissan aims to expand its dealership network to over 300 touchpoints by FY2025.
Showcasing Nissan’s Flagship Models
The launch in Nashik also spotlighted Nissan’s flagship SUVs, including the New Nissan Magnite and the 4th Generation Nissan X-TRAIL.
- Nissan Magnite: Priced between INR 5.99 Lakhs and INR 11.50 Lakhs, the Magnite features over 20 first- and best-in-segment features and 55+ safety elements. With its bold, robust exterior and cutting-edge technology, it exemplifies Nissan’s ‘Make-in-India, Make-for-the-World’ vision, being exported to over 65 countries, including left-hand-drive markets.
- Nissan X-TRAIL: Known for its world-first Variable Compression Engine, this premium SUV demonstrates Nissan’s technological prowess and commitment to innovation.
Mr. Vatsa highlighted Nissan’s dedication to the Indian market, stating, “SUVs such as the New Nissan Magnite and the 4th Generation Nissan X-TRAIL are prime examples of our commitment to India as we aim to expand our dealer network and bring our global expertise closer to our customers.”
Advancing Skills and Customer Experience
In addition to expanding its dealership network, Nissan recently launched its first National Training Centre, the Nissan Academy at its Alliance JV plant in Chennai. This facility will serve as a hub for enhancing the skills and capabilities of dealership and service staff across India, reinforcing Nissan’s dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
A Vision for Growth
Nissan’s strategic initiatives, including the Nashik launch and the new training centre, reflect its commitment to addressing the evolving needs of Indian customers. With a focus on delivering innovative products and superior service, Nissan continues to strengthen its presence in India’s dynamic automotive market.
For customers in Nashik and beyond, the new Highgear Nissan showroom and service workshop promise convenience, reliability, and a premium ownership experience, setting the stage for sustained growth and customer satisfaction.
