Nissan Magnite Facelift Bookings Open

Nissan India has formally started taking reservations for the much awaited Magnite makeover. Interested buyers may hold their unit with a small deposit of Rs 11,000 only. On October 4, the new Magnite's prices will be revealed. On October 5, deliveries will start.

One of the least expensive small SUVs available in India is the pre-facelift Magnite, with a starting price of Rs 6 lakh. Although there may be a small price increase as a result of the redesign, it will still be priced competitively. It competes with the Renault Kiger, Maruti Fronx, and Toyota Taisor in this price range; more expensive models like the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue present strong competition.

Nissan Magnite Facelift: What's New?

The Nissan Magnite facelift features subtle yet impactful changes. Teasers have revealed that the front grille is slightly redesigned, while the SUV gets new alloy wheels and reworked LED tail-lamps. The bumpers are expected to feature a refreshed design.

Interior Upgrades

The all-black interior of the outgoing model has been replaced with a new dual-tone tan and black theme in the facelifted Magnite. The former black and silver finish on the steering wheel has been replaced with an all black unit, giving it a fresh appearance as well. It is anticipated that the revised Magnite would have more features, like ambient lighting for the door pads and dashboard. The new interior motif has also led to a makeover of the seat upholstery.

Nissan Magnite Facelift: Powertrain and Specs

Mechanically, the Magnite facelift is likely to remain the same. The two engine options include:

  • 1.0-litre NA petrol engine producing 72hp and 96 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.
  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 100hp and 160 Nm of torque, available with either a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission.
