Tail Light Leak Details

A six-second video by JUNAID IBN AL ABBAS shows the right-side LED tail light assembly of the Nissan Tekton. The assembly features a C-shaped LED signature for brake lights, LED turn indicators, and LED reversing lights. While the design resembles the Renault Duster's LED tail lights, the Tekton's version includes unique lighting elements and a distinct LED signature.

The video uploader also shared contact details and a Delhi address on YouTube. This is not the first time such leaks have occurred in the Indian automotive industry. Maruti Suzuki has experienced similar leaks of headlights and tail lights before official launches.

Upcoming Launch and Shared Platform

Nissan Motor India plans to launch the Tekton as its next C-segment SUV. The Tekton will share its platform and technology with the Renault Duster, which debuted on January 26. Nissan initially scheduled the Tekton's debut for May 4, but it has been postponed to mid-2026. Both vehicles have been seen testing together, indicating close development timelines and shared features.

The Tekton and Duster will share several components, including equipment, technology, and much of their silhouette. However, the Tekton will offer a more premium appearance with added chrome, while the Duster presents a more rugged look. Both SUVs are expected to have similar interiors, though the Tekton may feature unique dashboard elements.

Expected Features and Specifications

Anticipated features for the Nissan Tekton include 18-inch alloy wheels, 225-section tyres, a powered tailgate, and up to 700 liters of boot space. The SUV will offer LED lighting throughout, a panoramic sunroof, Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, and Google built-in services. Engine options are expected to include a 1.0-liter turbo petrol and a 1.3-liter turbo petrol.
