Tata Motors is gearing up to launch its first coupe SUV in India next month. Named the Tata Curvv, this exciting new model will be available in both electric (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) versions. Here are some details about the ICE Curvv's engine and gearbox options.
Engine Choices
The Curvv ICE will come with three engine options:
- 1.2-litre Turbo-Petrol
- 1.2-litre GDi Petrol (New)
- 1.5-litre Diesel
Transmission Options
All engines will be paired with two transmission options:
- A six-speed manual gearbox
- A seven-speed Dual-Clutch Automatic (DCA) gearbox
Performance Figures
- 1.2-litre GDi Petrol: This new engine produces 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque.
- 1.2-litre Turbo-Petrol: Borrowed from the Nexon, this engine offers 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque.
- 1.5-litre Diesel: This engine generates 113 bhp and 260 Nm of torque.

Drive Modes
Like other Tata SUVs, the Curvv will feature three drive modes:
- Eco
- City
- Sport
The Curvv ICE is expected to be launched after the EV version. With these diverse engine and gearbox options, the Tata Curvv aims to cater to various driving preferences and needs.
