Key Features and Specifications

The Tata Sierra EV is built on Tata Motors' Acti.ev+ platform. This architecture allows for both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The Sierra EV will become Tata's second electric vehicle to offer all-wheel drive, following the Harrier EV. The platform also supports faster charging and advanced driver assistance systems.

Design elements from the internal combustion engine version will carry over. The Sierra EV will feature the signature wraparound rear glass area, a design that pays tribute to the original Sierra. The SUV will also have connected LED lighting, an upright stance, and aero-optimized alloy wheels.

Inside, the Sierra EV is expected to offer multiple digital displays and a panoramic sunroof. Connected car features and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) will likely be included. These features aim to enhance both comfort and safety for occupants.

Performance, Range, and Pricing

The Sierra EV is expected to come with battery options ranging from 55 kWh to 65 kWh. Tata Motors claims the SUV will deliver a driving range of about 500 km to 550 km on a full charge. This range places the Sierra EV among the higher-performing electric SUVs in its segment.

Pricing for the Sierra EV is expected to fall between the Tata Curvv EV and Tata Harrier EV models. Estimates suggest an ex-showroom price between Rs. 20 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh. This pricing positions the Sierra EV as a competitive option in the mid-size electric SUV market.

Once launched, the Sierra EV will compete with other electric SUVs in the segment. The vehicle's combination of design, features, and range is expected to appeal to a wide range of buyers.
