The all-new 2026 Honda City Facelift launched at Rs 12 lakh in India
Honda has introduced the 2026 City facelift in India with refreshed styling, updated features, and improved tech. Starting at Rs 12 lakh, it aims to strengthen its position in the premium sedan segment.

Honda has launched the all-new 2026 Honda City facelift in India, with prices starting from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated facelift version offers a sharper design, an enhanced feature list and retains the trusted powertrain lineup that has kept the City relevant in a competitive market.
With rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia pushing hard on equipment and road presence, Honda’s updated City arrives with the kind of polish buyers expect from a premium sedan, while staying true to the model’s comfort-first, easy-to-live-with, driving-to-the-purest ethos. Let's check out what possible features this new facelift version of the Honda City is providing.
Updated Design

The 2026 Honda City facelift shows up its visual appeal with a more aggressive front end, sharpened LED headlamps, and connected DRLs that align with the current design language seen on newer Hondas. The grille layout is tweaked, complemented by revised bumpers and redesigned alloy‑wheel patterns that give the sedan a fresher, more premium stance without losing its familiar swept‑roof profile.
At the rear, Honda has tweaked the taillamps and reflector treatment, along with a subtle restyling of the lower bumper and garnish, to modernize the silhouette while retaining the City’s hallmark 506‑liter boot. Overall dimensions remain unchanged, around 4,583 mm in length, 1,748 mm in width, and a 2,600 mm wheelbase. So this means more boot space, rear‑seat legroom, and on‑road manoeuvrability.
Refreshed Interiors and Tech
Inside, the city facelift adds subtle upgrades rather than a full overhaul, focusing on perceived quality and new tech. The cabin keeps the same roomy layout, generous legroom, and soft‑touch sections on higher trims but introduces a more modern infotainment system with a larger touchscreen, 8-speaker surround system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and continued Amazon Alexa connectivity via the Honda Connect suite.
Higher trims also carry a 10.1‑inch digital driver display, climate‑controlled AC, a 360‑degree camera, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ADAS level 2, vehicle stability assist, hill‑start assist, a LaneWatch camera, automatic climate control, a leather‑wrap steering wheel, and multi‑function controls.
Engine & Performance

Mechanically, the 2026 City facelift continues with the tried-and-tested 1.5L naturally aspirated i-VTEC engine that produces about 121 HP of power and 145 Nm of peak torque. The engine might be available with a 6-speed manual transmission, or an option of the 7-speed CVT is also available for Indian customers.
Another engine with a 1.5L hybrid produces about 126 HP and 253 Nm of peak torque. This hybrid power unit is mated with an e-CVT gearbox. The brand claims a mileage of about 27.26 kmpl and also offers a 5-year warranty on the hybrid components.
Market Outlook
The all-new Honda City facelift will continue to roar in the sedan market once again, with rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and Volkswagen Virtus. Honda reinforces its push in the midsize sedan space, where reputational heft often matters more than outright price extremes. The City continues to leverage its strengths.
