Austrian two-wheeler giant, KTM, is preparing to launch the upcoming 2026 KTM Super Duke 1390 RR. This upcoming model is the higher-spec variant of the current Super Duke 1390R. The RR abbreviation follows the series portfolio by the 1290 Super Duke RR, of which only 500 units were produced in 2021 and 2023. Both these abbreviated RR models are the premium version of the standard version.

This higher-spec model now weighs around 8.5 kg through premium components, targeting track enthusiasts with uncompromised performance. The bike is expected to debut in 2026. The most prominent detail is that the bike will now offer a 17 mm wide handlebar, which is now accommodated with lever guards. Along with the substantial design change, the model is expected to offer premium racing-inspired hardware upgrades, including top-end WP Apex Pro suspension spec.

The RR retains the beastly 1,350 cc LC8 V-twin engine, delivering 190 HP of power and 145 Nm of torque. According to the spec mentioned in the documentation, the bike's weight drops to 204 kg from 212.5 kg, boosting the near 1:1 power-to-weight ratio for sharper acceleration and handling.

The above engine is very powerful and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox configuration, integrated with a PASC slipper clutch. The bike is now Euro 5+ compliant and maintains raw torque delivery, promising top speeds beyond 250 kmph on the track.

• The ground clearance of the bike is around 149 mm, which suits aggressive leans.

No official launch date has been announced for the 2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR yet. European type-approval filings surfaced in early December 2025, signaling homologation progress ahead of a 2026 model year debut.
