Advanced Hybrid Technology

The Innova Hycross capitalizes on the well-established 'Innova’ brand name, offering multiple segment-first features. The MPV is equipped with a new strong hybrid powertrain, featuring the latest 2.0-litre Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) petrol engine. The advanced 5th-gen self-charging hybrid electric technology provides the hybrid variant with 186 PS of maximum power, while the petrol-only model generates 174 PS. Both models come with a CVT transmission.

Class-Leading Fuel Efficiency

The hybrid variant boasts an impressive fuel efficiency of 23.24 km/l, while the petrol-only variant delivers 16.13 km/l. The use of a new monocoque frame has not only contributed to improved fuel efficiency but has also enhanced overall comfort and driving performance.

Segment-First Features

The Innova Hycross stands out with its sporty SUV-like profile, featuring an imposing grille, tri-eye LED headlamps, R18 metallic alloy wheels, and a range of other distinctive features. Notable segment-first features include ventilated seats, paddle shifters, power back door, rear sunshade, multi-zone AC, electrochromic IRVM, and powered Ottoman seats with a long slide.

Innova Hycross Pricing and Rivals

The petrol variants of the Toyota Innova Hycross are priced between Rs 18.92 lakh and Rs 19.82 lakh, while the hybrid variants start at Rs 25.72 lakh. The top-spec hybrid variant is priced at Rs 30.68 lakh. In comparison, the rebadged Maruti Invicto, available only with the strong hybrid powertrain, is priced between Rs 25.21 lakh and Rs 28.92 lakh.

Market Positioning

Despite the absence of direct rivals, the Innova Hycross serves as a premium alternative to vehicles like the Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo. In January 2024, the Hycross emerged as the top-selling Toyota car, contributing nearly 30% of the brand's overall sales. Sales of the Hycross in January 2024 showed a remarkable YoY gain of 376.38%, overshadowing the Innova Crysta, which recorded sales of 2,602 units with an 11.22% share in overall sales. The Maruti Invicto, a rebadged version of the Innova Hycross, accounted for a small fraction of the sales in comparison.
