Key Features and Equipment

The Toyota Rumion E base variant comes with halogen projector headlamps and steel wheels with full wheel caps. The exterior also features a chrome surround front grille, a front bumper with chrome garnish, and LED tail lamps. However, it lacks ORVM-integrated turn signals, a rear wiper and washer, a rear defogger, and front and rear mudguards.
Inside, the E variant offers a multi-information display (MID) with a color TFT, gear shift indicator, tachometer, fuel consumption display, and a digital clock. Adjustable headrests are provided in all three rows, along with a cabin lamp and premium dual-tone interiors. The variant includes manual air conditioning, twin cup holders, a 12V socket, power windows, and power and tilt steering.
Several features available on higher trims are not present in the E base variant. These include automatic AC, rear AC vents, engine push start/stop with smart key, remote keyless entry, Type-C charging ports, day and night adjustable IRVM, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVM, cruise control, auto headlamps with follow-me-home function, and a PM 2.5 filter.
Infotainment and Safety Details
The E base variant does not include an infotainment system. It lacks wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an audio screen with touch buttons, Bluetooth connectivity, speakers, tweeters, USB and AUX connectivity, and steering-mounted audio and calling controls.
On the safety front, the E base variant offers almost all features found in higher trims. It is equipped with six airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold, ABS with EBD and brake assist, rear parking sensors, and central locking. Additional safety features include an engine immobilizer, seat belt reminder, 3-point ELR for all seat belts, high-speed alert system, and speed-sensing auto door lock. Missing safety features are a security alarm, rear parking camera, front fog lamps, and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Powertrain and Market Position
The Rumion E base variant is available only with a 5-speed manual transmission and a petrol engine. It does not offer a CNG option, which is available only with the S trim. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 103 PS and 139 Nm of torque. Higher variants also offer a 6-speed automatic transmission.
