Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder will be available in India soon: Bookings start at Rs. 25,000

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has stated that the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG would be available in India shortly. The carmaker has begun collecting pre-orders for the vehicle at a starting cost of Rs 25,000 ahead of its market debut.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has stated that the Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG would be available in India shortly. The carmaker has begun collecting pre-orders for the vehicle at a starting cost of Rs 25,000 ahead of its market debut. The Toyota Hyryder CNG, like the recently announced Glanza CNG, will be offered in S and G trim levels. Interestingly, it will be the first car in its class to include a factory-installed CNG kit.

The Toyota Hyryder CNG's powertrain configuration features a 1.5L K15C 4-cylinder engine. The same engine powers the CNG Ertiga and XL6 MPVs. Its power and torque ratings are yet unknown. However, we anticipate it to provide the same 88bhp and 121.5Nm of torque (in CNG mode) as the XL6. A 5-speed manual transmission will be available. The mileage of the Hyryder CNG has been certified by the manufacturer to be 26.10km/kg. It is significantly less than the Maruti XL6 CNG's 26.32 km/kg.

Other than the CNG badging, the Toyota Hyryder CNG will remain unchanged. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Alex and Google assistance, connected car features, a 4-speaker audio system, steering-mounted controls, a reverse parking camera, paddle shifters, and cruise control are all available in the SUV's S trim.

A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ambient interior lighting, wireless charging, Head-up display, 6 airbags, chrome window line garnish, auto folding outside wing mirrors, rear wiper and washer, 17-inch alloy wheels, and full LED headlamps are among the features of the mid-spec Toyota Hyryder G variant.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG will be somewhat more expensive than its petrol equivalent. The SUV's petrol-powered S and G models are now priced at Rs 12.28 lakh and Rs 15.54 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
