Key Highlights

  • Ultraviolette has launched over 130 fast-charging stations in seven Indian states
  • Stations use 3kW Type-6 DC chargers and support F77 and X-47 Crossover models
  • Charging from 0 to 80 percent takes 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Plans include 50 more stations and higher-capacity chargers in the next two months

Charging Infrastructure Details

The new stations use Type-6 DC fast chargers, which are India's national standard for light electric vehicle DC charging. Each station is equipped with a 3 kW DC fast charger. These chargers can power the Ultraviolette F77 and X-47 Crossover models from 0 to 80 percent in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Charging from 0 to 100 percent takes 3.5 hours.

Ultraviolette has announced plans to introduce 6 kW and 12 kW chargers in the future. These upgrades aim to further reduce charging times for riders. The company also plans to add 50 more charging stations within the next two months. Additionally, Ultraviolette has set a target to expand the network by 200 charging stations in the same period.

App Integration and User Features

The Bolt.Earth and Ultraviolette apps have been integrated to enhance user experience. Riders can check real-time charger availability and monitor charging sessions remotely through the apps. The system also supports scan-to-pay functionality, allowing users to pay for charging sessions conveniently.

This expanded charging network is expected to reduce range anxiety among Ultraviolette riders. The integration of digital tools aims to make the charging process more efficient and user-friendly.

Future Expansion Plans

Ultraviolet's rapid expansion of its charging infrastructure demonstrates its commitment to supporting electric vehicle adoption in India. By increasing the number of charging stations and upgrading charger capacity, the company seeks to improve accessibility and convenience for electric motorcycle users.

The ongoing expansion and technological upgrades are designed to meet the growing demand for electric vehicle charging solutions. Ultraviolet's efforts align with the broader goal of promoting sustainable mobility in the country.
