Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, Ultraviolette, has officially launched its latest offering, F77 Mach 2, in India. Priced at Rs. 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard variant, the F77 Mach 2 is all ready  to mark a significant advancement in performance, features, and design over its predecessor.

Design and Aesthetics

Maintaining the same sleek and sporty design of its predecessor, F77 Mach 2 will also features options of new colors including Turbo Red, Plasma Red, Afterburner Yellow, Stealth Grey, Asteroid Grey, Cosmic Black, Supersonic Silver, Stellar White, and Lightning Blue. Important design updates include an aluminum charging port lid, which has replaced the previous plastic unit, and addition of F77 graphics on the front forks.

Performance and Battery

The F77 Mach 2 is powered by a 27kW motor, while the Recon variant boasts a more robust 30kW motor. The standard model is equipped with a 7.1kWh battery, offering an impressive range of 211km, while the Recon trim features a larger 10.3kWh unit providing an extended range of 323km. Additionally, the Recon model comes standard with 10 levels of switchable regenerative braking, enhancing energy efficiency.

Features and Technology

Both variants of the F77 Mach 2 come with three ride modes and a five-inch TFT display. Key features include auto-dimming lights, hill hold, ABS, and dynamic stability control. However, the Recon variant sets itself apart with the inclusion of four levels of traction control, offering enhanced safety and stability.

Hardware and Suspension

The F77 Mach 2 boasts premium hardware, including 41mm USD front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride. Braking duties are handled by a single 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tires.

Pricing and Availability

Ultraviolette has announced an introductory price of Rs. 2,99,000 for the first 1,000 customers of the F77 Mach 2 standard variant. The Recon variant is priced slightly higher at Rs. 3,99,000 (both prices ex-showroom, Bengaluru). KTM Duke 390, TVS Apache RTR 310 and the Yamaha MT-03, are some of the rivals which will give fierce competition to this new F77 Mach 2 E-bike.
