With the new rules and regulations, the previously applied Cess will now be abolished, and new rates will take place just ahead of the festive season. The introduction of the GST rate reduction benefits will be applicable on the Virtus, Taigun, and top-of-the-line Tiguan R-Line. Under the 56th GST Council Meeting, the new GST 2.0 will eliminate the additional cess tax and revise the new tax rates for several vehicle categories. Under the latest tax slab regime, small cars, bikes, and scooters with selected powertrain capacity and body dimensions will be placed under the 18% GST tax slab category.
