Mahindra is in line to expand its electric vehicle portfolio by launching multiple electric and electrified versions of ICE models. The automaker launched its first-born electric series, Mahindra BE 6, in 2024. However, it showcased the BE Rall-e concept, the off-road-focused version of the BE 6 EV with a crossover design, in 2023. They even recently spied testing with heavy camouflage to hide their design and interior features. It is assumed that the spotted model is the production-ready version of the upcoming Mahindra BE Rall-E and is being tested on Indian roads to confirm its final performance benchmarks.
What Can Be Spotted in Camouflage-Covered Mahindra BE Rall-E?
Despite the spied Mahindra BE Rall-E being covered with heavy camouflage, its overall silhouette appeared similar to the concept version showcased nearly two years ago. It was also revealed that the model gets an air scoop on the bonnet similar to that found in the BE 6 EV. The BE Rall-E even gets a circular headlamp cluster with projector LED and front parking sensors, which can be regarded same shown in the Rall-E concept. However, the test mule didn't feature front fog lamps that might be offered in the production-spec model.
Only a few exterior details could be confirmed, but the interior specifications still need to be explored as more details come out about this all-new BE Rall-E electric SUV. Considering the rumors, the Mahindra EV is expected to sport a two-spoke steering wheel borrowed from BE 6, and some additional interior features from XEV 9e.
Mahindra BE Rall-E Battery Details
It is highly anticipated that the Mahindra BE Rall-E can share a powertrain with the existing Mahindra BE 6. The BE 6 EV is currently available in two battery pack options, 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Both battery units come mated with a single electric motor. While the smaller battery pack produces 231 PS and 380 Nm of torque and has a claimed range of 535 km, the larger battery pack offers 286 PS and 380 Nm of torque with 682 Km of maximum range on a single charge.
Mahindra BE Rall-E Launch in India
The official launch date for BE Rall-E is yet to be announced, but the EV is expected to be launched by the end of this year. If it launches, Mahindra can keep the pricing at the premium end compared to the existing BE 6 EV, hinting that the all-new Mahindra BE Rall-E can be priced between Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh.
