Key Features and Design

The main highlight of the 70th Anniversary Editions is the new white and red colour scheme. This design pays tribute to Yamaha's early Grand Prix racing motorcycles from the 1960s and 1970s. The white base with red accents was Yamaha's official factory racing colour before the brand adopted its current blue theme in the late 1990s.
Both the R15 and R3 70th Anniversary Editions feature Speed Block graphics in red. These graphics, first seen in the 1970s, are designed to evoke a sense of speed and movement. The red accents also appear on the windscreen and fuel tank of both models, while the R3 receives additional red on the front fender. Each bike displays a commemorative 70th-anniversary logo on the fuel tank and a gold-finished Yamaha tuning fork logo.
The R15 comes with a blacked-out front suspension, while the R3 uses golden upside-down (USD) forks. Other features remain consistent with the standard versions, including a large windscreen, sculpted fuel tank, low-set handlebar, split seats, and upswept exhaust.
Engine Specifications and Technology
The Yamaha R15 70th Anniversary Edition uses a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 18.8 hp and 14.7 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and includes Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and an assist and slipper clutch. The R15 is built on a Deltabox frame, features a monoshock rear suspension, and dual-channel ABS for safety.
The Yamaha R3 70th Anniversary Edition is powered by a 321cc twin-cylinder engine with DiASil technology. This engine delivers 41.3 hp and 29.42 Nm of torque, also paired with a 6-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. The R3 includes a digital instrument cluster, which connects to the 'Yamaha Motor On' app for performance data, riding mode comparisons, and maintenance scheduling. A USB Type-A port is available for charging devices while riding.
