However, both motorcycles exude a bold appeal. The Honda CB300R comes with a more aggressive stance. The design elements that make it look different are a sculpted fuel tank, angular fairing, angular mirrors, split-style DRLs and LED headlight. Apart from this, it has a more futuristic design with its dynamic and minimalistic tail section.
On the other hand, the Triumph Speed 400 comes with a classic cafe racer aesthetic. The Triumph Speed 400 is characterized by its round headlight and an iconic Triumph badge. In addition to this, the Speed 400 gets a finely sculpted 13-litre fuel tank, circular LED headlamps, ribbed pattern seats, 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels and LED tail lamps.
The Honda CBR300 comes equipped with a 286cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine which is capable of generating a maximum power output of 30.7 bhp and a peak torque of 27.5 Nm. This powerhouse comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
On the other hand, the Triumph Speed 400 comes powered by a 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which churns out a maximum power of 39.4 bhp and a peak torque of 37.5 Nm. The 398cc mill comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox in the motorcycle.
Both Honda CB300R and Triumph Speed 400 get electronic riding aids such as disc brakes for both wheels, ride-by-wire throttle and dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. Additionally, both these bikes get inverted forks on the front and a mono-shock suspension unit at the rear end. The Triumph Speed 400 has additional features such as a traction control system and torque assist clutch.
Whereas, the Honda CB300R offers a better combination of features and power at an affordable price tag of Rs. 2.40 lakh. On the other hand, the Triumph Speed 400 comes with enhanced safety and slightly better performance at a price tag of Rs. 2.33 lakh. All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom.
