Hero XPulse 400 Latest Update

Latest Update

Hero MotoCorp is expected to launch the Xpulse 400, a bigger and more powerful version of the Xpulse 200, in India by mid-2024. The bike has been spotted testing on Indian roads, revealing some of its key features and design elements.

Introduction

The Hero Xpulse 400 is a dual-sport motorcycle that aims to offer a versatile and adventurous riding experience. The bike is based on the same platform as the Xpulse 200, but with a larger engine, better suspension, bigger brakes and more features. The bike is designed to handle both on-road and off-road conditions, with a rugged and muscular look.

Variant and Color

The Hero Xpulse 400 is likely to be offered in a single variant, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike may come in two color options: white and black, with contrasting graphics and decals.

Engine and Power

The Hero Xpulse 400 is expected to be powered by a 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces around 35 PS of power and 32 Nm of torque. The engine may be mated to a six-speed gearbox, with a slipper clutch for smooth gear changes. The bike may also feature a switchable traction control system, for better control on slippery surfaces.

Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity

It may have a fuel efficiency of around 30 kmpl, which is decent for a bike of this segment. The bike may have a fuel tank capacity of 15 liters, which gives it a good range for long-distance rides.

Features

This bike may come with a host of features, such as an LED headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators, a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, a USB charging port, a windscreen, knuckle guards, engine bash plate, luggage rack and panniers. The bike may also have an adjustable front fork and rear monoshock, with long travel suspension for better off-road performance.

Wheel Size and Weight

It may have a wheel size of 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear, with spoked wheels and tubeless tyres. The bike may have a kerb weight of around 170 kg, which is slightly heavier than the Xpulse 200.

Rivals

The Hero Xpulse 400 may face competition from other dual-sport bikes in the Indian market, such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the KTM Adventure 390 and the BMW G 310 GS.
