Engine

The most extreme variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT is the Mercedes-AMG GT R. A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine with 585PS and 700Nm of torque powers it. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission connected to the engine exclusively drives the rear wheels. It can go from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour (kph) in 3.6 seconds, and its top speed is 318 kph.

Exterior DesignExterior Design

The GT shares the same front-engine, rear-gearbox arrangement as its larger predecessor, not only in terms of aesthetics. The SLS's successor has a more rounded exterior than the original, and it appears to be considerably more compact and agile. The tall bonnet, glasshouse that resembles an old race car, and rounded boot section with a significant overhang all appear extremely familar when viewed in profile. You can't make grand entrances at gatherings like you can in the SLS since the Gull-wing doors have been replaced with regular ones. This has also assisted the AMG division in maintaining a low centre of gravity.

Interior & FeaturesInterior & Features

The driver of this car genuinely feels pampered. The experience is more like that of a race car than a vehicle designed for the road because everything is angled towards the driver and sits very low. Additionally, going in and out makes you appear foolish. Due to the narrow windscreen, high window line, and slim rear windscreen, visibility is further limited. The seats have excellent lateral support and are well-contoured. If anything, I thought the padding was overly stiff, which can be really taxing on extended trips. The Mercedes GT S is difficult to criticise in terms of craftsmanship, and everything from the leather-wrapped upper dash to the elegantly finished metal knobs and switches feels superb. The GT also features a functional cabin.

You get a moderately large glovebox, two bottle holders, a cubby under the armrest, and storage for your phone in the centre console. Although the boot has a capacity of 284 litres, it has a small entrance, and there is no spare wheel.
