Ntorq 125 vs. Activa 125 Comparison

The scooter designs have improved considerably in the last decade, with manufacturers offering advanced technological features like Bluetooth connectivity, voice assist functions, and ride modes. The TVS Ntorq XP is India’s first 125cc that offers more than 10hp power. It is also one of the smartest scooters around. In contrast, the Honda Activa 125 is more the traditional scooter with a robust and balanced look that qualifies as an ideal scooter to run on Indian roads.

The Design

The Ntorq has an aerodynamic structure to ensure a comfortable and smooth riding experience. The Ntorq 125 comes with a decent wheelbase length of 1285mm and a ground clearance of 155mm. The kerb weight of 118kg makes it a lightweight scooter compared to the Honda Activa 125. The smart-looking headlights and the signature T rear lamps add to its attraction quotient. The sporty stubby muffler takes care of the engine noise to add to your convenience.

The Honda Activa 125 is more of a traditional scooter with conventional looks. The glamourous LED headlamp with a restyled lighting arrangement adds to the overall attraction quotient. The broad chrome chest and the chrome-plated emblem on the sides accentuate its appearance. The idling start/stop feature saves fuel by switching off the engine at traffic signals.

The Ntorq 125 can deliver a maximum speed of 95kmph and acceleration from 0 to 60 in 9 seconds.

The Honda Activa 125 runs on a 4S fan-cooled SI engine with a displacement capacity of 124cc. This engine produces a decent power performance of 6.10 kW and torque of 10.3 Nm. Furthermore, the Honda Activa 125 offers two starting options in the electronic self-start and the traditional kick start mode. In addition, it features an automatic clutch that makes it easy to control the scooter on busy Indian roads.

One of the crucial safety features of the Honda Activa is the side-stand engine off function. It provides unnecessary accidents. The combi-brake technology enables a smooth braking experience. The 3-step rear suspension adds to the comfort while providing the ideal safety for the rider. The high-quality headlamp offers the best illumination to provide ample visibility.
