2024 MG Gloster Facelift Spied: A Sneak Peek into MG's Flagship SUV

Key Highlights

  • Larger dimensions for a commanding road presence.
  • Redesigned dashboard, upgraded infotainment, and customizable options.
  • Proven 2.0L turbo diesel engines for reliable performance.
  • Multiple drive and terrain modes for diverse conditions.

The highly anticipated facelift of MG Motor's flagship SUV, the Gloster, has been spotted ahead of its launch, revealing a slew of updates that promises a more dominating road presence. Set to compete with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq, the Gloster facelift is assured to redefine the large SUV segment.

Spy Shots and Design Inspirations

Automotive enthusiasts are excited with the latest spy shots, credited to enthusiast D Nandan, showcasing the larger dimensions of the upcoming MG Gloster facelift. Drawing design inspiration from the new LDV D90, showcased by MG Motor's parent company SIAC in Australia and New Zealand, the facelift is expected to measure 5,214 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width, and 1,876 mm in height. This represents a significant increase compared to the existing Gloster model.

With dimensions that surpass its competitors, such as the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq, the MG Gloster facelift promises to offer a stately road presence that will surely turn heads on the streets.

Interior

As MG Motor gears up for the Gloster facelift, interior updates are equally noteworthy, ensuring a refreshing and luxurious cabin experience for its occupants.

Dashboard and Infotainment Upgrade

The facelifted Gloster will feature a redesigned dashboard, incorporating a new touchscreen infotainment system and an updated center console. Borrowing cues from the LDV D90, the gear selector has been shifted behind the steering wheel, providing a modern and ergonomic feel to the cabin.

Customizable Interiors and Spacious Cabin

Expectations are high for a more spacious interior and a larger boot, thanks to the added bodywork at the front and rear. The facelifted Gloster will continue to offer a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, ensuring ample space for the passengers and cargo. Customizable options for interior themes will add a personalized touch to the driving experience.

Unchanged Power

While the exterior and interior undergo significant upgrades, the power under the hood remains unchanged. The MG Gloster facelift will retain the same engine options as the current model.

Turbocharged Excellence

The 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, generating 161 PS of maximum power and 373.5 Nm of peak torque, will be available in the 2WD format. Meanwhile, the 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, producing an impressive 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm, will be offered in the 4WD format. Both engines will be paired with an 8-speed torque converter gearbox, ensuring a seamless and powerful driving experience.

Drive and Terrain Modes

CarBike360 Says

As the launch date approaches, the automotive world eagerly awaits the unveiling of the 2024 MG Gloster Facelift, anticipating a perfect blend of style, performance, and luxury in MG's flagship SUV.
