Bajaj Auto has removed the Avenger 160 Street from its official website and introduced the Avenger 220 Street. This move marks the end of the 160cc platform in the Avenger series. The Avenger 220 Street now joins the lineup, using the same engine as the Avenger 220 Cruise.
Key Highlights
- Bajaj has discontinued the Avenger 160 Street and added the Avenger 220 Street to its lineup
- The Avenger 220 Street uses a 220cc engine producing 19 HP and 17.6 Nm of torque
- Pricing for the Avenger 220 Street is not yet announced but expected below Rs 1.29 lakh
Avenger 220 Street Specifications

The Avenger 220 Street features a 220cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 19 HP at 8,500 rpm and 17.6 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. It comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The Avenger 160 Street, which has been discontinued, used a 160.4cc single-cylinder engine. That engine delivered 15 HP and 13.7 Nm of torque.
The Avenger 220 Street will be available in two colors: red and black. The bike features mostly blacked-out components and alloy wheels. Suspension is managed by a conventional telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a front disc and rear drum brake setup, with single-channel ABS. This setup is similar to what is found on the Avenger 220 Cruise.
Pricing and Availability
Bajaj has updated its website to include the Avenger 220 Street. However, the company has not yet announced the pricing for this model. The Avenger 220 Street is expected to be priced slightly below the Avenger 220 Cruise. The 220 Cruise currently has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.29 lakh in Delhi.
Other than the engine and minor cosmetic differences, the Avenger 220 Street remains largely unchanged from the previous version. Bajaj has not introduced significant updates to the design or features. The Avenger 220 Street continues to target riders looking for a cruiser-style motorcycle with a mid-capacity engine.
