Bajaj Auto is reintroducing the Pulsar 180 to its Classic Pulsar lineup for the 2026 model year. Units of the new Pulsar 180 have already reached showrooms in India before the official launch. This move marks the return of a model that was previously discontinued, expanding Bajaj's offerings in the competitive 180cc segment.

- New model features street naked design with black base and red grey accents
- Chunkier black exhaust similar to Pulsar 220F introduced for 2026

Pulsar 180 Features and Design

The 2026 Pulsar 180 appears in its standard street naked form, without the semi-fairing. The showcased unit features a black base color, accented with red and grey on the fuel tank, side panels, and tail section. The "180" badge is visible on the tail, highlighting the model's identity.
The motorcycle includes a single-piece seat and rear disc brakes. The instrument cluster is fully digital but does not offer navigation in this version. Bajaj may introduce a higher variant with a split seat and a more advanced cluster, possibly including turn-by-turn navigation.
LED headlights and turn indicators are present, matching the design seen on the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150. The front fender displays a carbon fiber pattern. A significant update is the chunkier black exhaust, similar to the one on the Pulsar 220F and previously seen on the Pulsar 200.
Other features include clip-on handlebars, illuminated switchgear, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Bajaj has not yet released official engine specifications or pricing details for the new Pulsar 180.
Background and Market Context
The Classic Pulsar range has played a key role in Bajaj Auto's growth. Currently, the lineup in India includes the Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150, and Pulsar 220F. The Pulsar 180 was discontinued in 2019, replaced by the semi-faired Pulsar 180F. In 2021, the standard naked Pulsar 180 returned, but it was again discontinued in 2022 due to lower demand and the introduction of new models.
The Pulsar 220F was revived in 2023 after strong public demand. The return of the Pulsar 180 follows a similar pattern, as Bajaj currently lacks a 180cc motorcycle in its range. Competitors such as TVS and Honda continue to offer models in this segment.
The official launch date for the 2026 Pulsar 180 is expected soon. Bajaj's decision to bring back the Pulsar 180 reflects ongoing demand for this model and the company's strategy to maintain a comprehensive lineup in the Indian motorcycle market.
