Mahindra Thar 5-door

Mahindra and the company's flagship model, Thar, need no introduction. It has been the most successful car model in the segment and the success of Mahindra Thar is worth writing a thesis on. Now, the leading Indian Automaker has already confirmed to launch more versions of Thar in the upcoming years, including the announcement of Thar 5-door. Mahindra has been seriously looking forward to launching the 5-door variant of Mahindra Thar as the testing is already taking place which indicates that the Mahindra Thar 5-door will launch by around 2023. Maruti Jimny 5-door

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is the most eagerly awaited and anticipated car by Indian automobile enthusiasts and off-roading lovers. The Jimny will be taking over from Maruti Gypsy which has long been discontinued, but the car is still being sold in the used car market in India. It is still considered a legend in off-roading. Well, Jimny definitely has big shoes to fill.

The global debut of Jimny was in 2018 and it was even displayed at the 2020 Auto Expo and was produced in India for export. Maruti believed that a five-door model would be more appropriate for India.

Currently being seen in testing across the globe, the five-door Jimny appears to be nearing production. It is anticipated to be driven by the same 1.5-liter, 103 PS petrol engine as the standard Jimny, though a turbo-petrol engine option may be available for improved performance. The Jimny receives 4WD as standard internationally, same as the Thar. For buyers who prefer the appearance but not the off-roading abilities, a 2WD version of the five-door model might be offered at a lesser cost.

If offered in both 2WD and 4WD models, a 5-door Jimny price in India could easily be priced anywhere between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom).

Force Gurkha 5-door

The Mahindra Thar and the Jimny are considered off-roaders that have evolved over time to become more useful in urban settings, while the Force Gurkha appears to have stayed true to its tough roots. The five-door version of the most recent Gurkha, which debuted in 2021, will follow soon.

Numerous times, a five-door Gurkha in nearly production-ready configuration has been spotted.
