To mark its path more adamant toward electric vehicles, Hyundai is all set to introduce the e-version of Creta SUV. First sightings of Hyundai Creta EV have been captured on the roads of South Korea. The EV is all set to mark its impression with an expected launch in the third quarter of this year. Once launched in the market Creta EV will be competing with MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400, Tata Curvv EV, and Maruti eVX.
Design and Features
The Creta EV is set to inherit most of the design pattern from its ICE counterpart. Some important changes include a closed-off grille and bumper, horizontal LED positioning lamps, DRLs, and front turn signals with sequential function. The SUV will come with a muscular hood design, connected LED tail lamps, and an aerodynamic spoiler with a LED high mounted stop lamp.
No wonder Creta EV is expected to offer a range of premium features similar to its ICE counterpart, including integrated infotainment and instrument screens, a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, front row ventilated seats, a Bose premium sound system, and dual-zone automatic temperature control.
Moreover it is expected that some premium features from the Ioniq 5 along with a range of connectivity and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, will be incorporated in Creata EV.

Performance and Range
Powered by a 45-kWh battery pack manufactured by LG Chem, Creta EV is estimated to offer a certified range of around 450 km, with real-world range varying between 250 to 300 km depending on driving conditions.
This SUV will feature an advanced regenerative braking system to optimise range and will support fast charging. This will help users to charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes using an ultra-fast charger.
Creta EV will feature a single-motor setup on the front axle, similar to the new-gen Kona available in international markets. This motor is expected to deliver 138 hp of max power and 255 Nm of peak torque.
Hyundai's EV Charging Network Expansion
To support the increasing number of EV users, Hyundai can be seen expanding its EV charging network across key cities and highways in India, frequently.

Ultra-fast EV charging stations have already been deployed in cities like Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, Gurugram, and Hyderabad. Major highways such as Delhi-Jaipur, Delhi-Chandigarh, Mumbai-Nashik, Mumbai-Surat, and Hyderabad-Vijayawada are also witnessing the growth of Ultra-fast EV charging stations.
Users can conveniently locate available charging slots using the MyHyundai app, make online payments, and monitor the charging status of their vehicle, for an easy and convenient charging experience.
