The Indian car market can never be stagnant, and this is evident in June 2025. A total of 3.13 lakh passenger cars were sold, but still, the Indian market experienced a notable slowdown with a 6.4% decline when compared to the previous year's data, i.e., June 2024. The month of June 2025 remains down in terms of car sales. Numerous auto experts believe that the lack of holiday seasons, the arrival of the monsoon, and the start of classes are the reasons for these sales, which all contribute to a lowered level of consumer sentiment.

However, we can also see the sudden drop in the southern part of India. Major big players in OEM, like Maruti, Tata Motors, and Hyundai, have reported lower sales, and only a few brands have been able to catch up to the growth through launching new models.
