Major Launches and Model Updates
BMW introduced the M440i Convertible in India, available in a single xDrive variant. The convertible features a fabric soft-top that opens or closes in 18 seconds. It is powered by a 3-litre inline-six turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid technology. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.9 seconds.
Tata launched the Nexon Pure Plus PS variant, now the most affordable SUV in India with a panoramic sunroof. Prices start at Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant is offered with 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and 1.2-litre turbo-petrol CNG powertrains. Both manual and AMT options are available, along with several premium features.
Tata also updated the Harrier and Safari diesel lineups with new Ultra trims and Red Dark editions. These variants include premium features and cosmetic enhancements such as red-themed interiors. The Harrier Ultra starts at Rs 23.85 lakh, while the Safari Ultra is priced from Rs 24.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Price Changes and Upcoming Launches
Jaguar Land Rover reduced prices for the fully imported Range Rover SV and Range Rover Sport SV after the India-UK Free Trade Agreement. The Range Rover SV now costs Rs 3.50 crore, a reduction of Rs 75 lakh. The Range Rover Sport SV is priced at Rs 2.35 crore, down by Rs 40 lakh. Prices for locally assembled models remain unchanged.
Honda announced the launch of the 2026 facelifted City, City Hybrid, and the new ZR-V SUV on May 22. The City and City Hybrid facelifts will feature cosmetic updates, refreshed interiors, and added features, while retaining current powertrains. The ZR-V will serve as Honda's flagship imported SUV with a strong-hybrid setup.
Tata updated the Curvv EV with new SeriesX variants, including Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55 trims. A new Nitro Crimson colour option is also available. Prices start at Rs 16.99 lakh, and the Empowered X 55 Dark Edition is priced at Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The 45 kWh battery pack has been discontinued, and more features are now standard.
Nissan introduced a twin-cylinder CNG powertrain option for the Gravite MPV as a dealership retrofit kit, priced at Rs 82,999. The retrofit is available for all manual variants across 60 cities. Power figures for the CNG option have not been disclosed.
