Key Design Changes in BMW 7 Series
The updated BMW 7 Series features a new split-headlight design. Slimmer daytime running lights sit above vertically oriented projector units. The kidney grilles are now larger and more square, with horizontal slats and an illuminated border. The alloy wheels have a new design as well. BMW has replaced the previous gloss black trim and layered bumper with a cleaner look. The new bumper includes a trapezoidal air dam for a more refined appearance.
Next-Gen X5 Adopts Neue Klasse Design

The next-generation BMW X5 will introduce the Neue Klasse design language to internal combustion engine models for the first time. The new X5 is expected to be unveiled in the coming months. The leaked images show the X5 in M60e plug-in hybrid form. Its front end resembles the BMW iX3, with slim LED-lined kidney grilles and sleek black panels housing the headlights. The bumper has a large air dam with gloss black trim and vertical intakes on each side. The overall front design is more upright and slab-sided than the current X5.
On the side, the new X5 features squarish indents above the wheel arches, smooth body panels, and retractable door handles, similar to the iX3. At the rear, the X5 has LED tail lamps stretching across the width, though they are not connected.
The bumper sports a dynamic design with quad exhaust tips, likely part of the M styling package. A dual-ridge roof spoiler sits at the top. BMW Group has announced a 2 percent price increase effective from April 2026. The first BMW Alpina models will be based on the 7 Series and X7 platforms.
