MG Motor honoured Paralympics medalist Bhavina Patel with a personalized Hector SUV

MG Motor India has taken a positive initiative by presenting the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics silver medalist Bhavina Patel a customised Hector SUV on Monday 13/12/21. The company's Chief Technical Officer Jayanta Deb handed over this internet-connected SUV to the Paralympics medalist Bhavina Patel in association with The Vadodara Marathon.

This customised Hector SUV has been redesigned to make things easier with a hand-controlled lever to operate the accelerator and brakes, simultaneously with the wheelchair attachments.
This customised Hector vehicle features a DCT transmission and an engine start-stop button, which would provide a smooth driving experience to the User/Car Driver.

After receiving this customized car, Patel said“I truly appreciate this thoughtful gesture by MG Motor and the Vadodara Marathon. It gives me immense joy to call this completely customized Hector my own.”
In February this year, MG Hector SUV has launched an updated version in the country with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, i-Smart that supports Hinglish voice commands.
These features allow the user to command and can perform functions like opening the sunroof, adjusting temperature, and setting navigation.

With the Extra ventilated seats, this 2021 Hector also gets the additional cushioning.

This SUV is powered by three different powertrain options - petrol, petrol hybrid and diesel.

Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
In addition, the new Hector gets a CVT as well as the existing two options.
Not Only MG Motor, Tata Motors, Mahindra and Renault have also felicitated the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Paralympics athletes with personalized vehicles.

Mahindra announced a personalized XUV700 for gold medalist Paralympian Avani Lekhara. The company had already been handed over XUV700 Javelin Gold Edition SUVs to Neeraj Chopra and Sumit Antil.
