Nissan Gravite outsells Renault Triber in March 2026, selling around 2,603 units in India
The Nissan Gravite has outpaced the Renault Triber on India’s March 2026 sales chart, achieving around 2,603 units since its debut. Here’s how Nissan’s all-new 7-seater is reshaping the compact MPV market.

Nissan Motor India has recently released its March sales report of 2026, showcasing that its much-awaited Gravite has sold around 2,603 units in the month of March. This newest launched MPV has sold around 2,375 units in February 2026, signalling a promising response from the customer after its inception.
Launched as the most affordable MPV in India, Nissan’s aggressive push into this growing space is paying off. The Gravite’s blend of style, practicality, and technology appears to have struck the right chord with Indian buyers. Now the car has surpassed the sales of the Renault Triber by 342 units in March 2026.
Design and Technology

Talking about its design, the newly launched Nissan Gravite is built on the same CMF platform as the Renault Triber. The front fascia of the car offers a bold V-Motion grille, Led headlamps and dual-tone sporty alloy wheels. While getting inside the car, the dashboard feels robust and covered with subtle plastic material.
The cabin is endowed with a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system integrated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional technological features include wireless phone charging, push-button start and stop, advanced cruise control, automatic LED headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the Nissan Gravite is powered by a 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces around 76 HP of power and 95 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission setup. However, an option for the 5-speed AMT transmission is also available for Indian customers. Nissan claims that the car is capable of delivering a mileage of about 19.3 kmpl for the manual transmission and 19.6 kmpl for the automatic.
Safety Suits
Safety remains a cornerstone of Nissan’s offering. Standard features include six airbags, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, and a 360-degree camera system—a rarity in this price band. Other features include ABS, traction control, and tyre pressure monitoring system. These inclusions give the Gravite an edge over the Renault Triber, which offers a more basic safety suite.
Market Outlook
As the Nissan Gravite was launched as the most affordable MPV for the Indian market, the vehicle surely brought back the sales chart and became one of the company's highest domestic market dispatches in the last five years. In FY2026, Nissan Motor India has sold around 24,300 units, under which the all-new Gravite shows an 11% sales share of the company's wholesale in less than two months since its debut.

CarBike 360 Says
The Nissan Gravite’s early success in March 2026 signals the brand’s renewed momentum in India’s MPV market. Surpassing the Renault Triber in monthly sales gives Nissan a strong foothold to expand its portfolio in the family-car segment. With growing consumer trust and a versatile product, the Gravite could well redefine Nissan’s journey in India’s competitive arena.
