Tata Motors launched the facelift version of the Altroz hatchback earlier this month. The car was priced at Rs 6.89 Lakh (ex-showroom) in India. With the updated version, Altroz received all-new, refreshed aesthetics with enhanced features across all the powertrains. Now the vehicle has carved its name in the history of the automotive landscape. Under the Tatas’ reign, Tata Altroz has now become the only CNG-powered car to secure the highest safety rating in the Bharat NCAP Crash Test.
After Nexon and Punch, Tata Motors has once again set a benchmark in automotive safety with its all-new Altroz, achieving a historic 5-star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP (B-NCAP) protocol. According to the latest crash test report, the vehicle achieved an impressive 29.65 points out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 44.90 points out of 49 for child occupant protection. With these figures, Altroz not only climbed new heights but also set new standards for premium hatchbacks to establish safety benchmarks for CNG-powered vehicles.
Let’s check out the details of the Tata Altroz testing for the BNCAP rating and what safety features this car offers for Indian customers.
Tata Altroz Facelift: Receives BNCAP 5-Star Safety Rating

The all-new Tata Altroz Facelift has received an outstanding 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, making it the nation’s first CNG-powered vehicle to get a 5-star safety rating. What’s more surprising is that the Altroz secured the 5-star rating in both adult and child occupant protection.
The Altroz excelled in Bharat NCAP's rigorous crash testing regime, offering good protection ratings for the driver and passengers.
