Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles have achieved remarkable growth in October 2025. The brand shows an exceptional sales performance, as revealed in the latest report through the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA). TMPV has emerged as a second-place winner in October sales of 2025, surpassing both Mahindra and Hyundai. The announcement comes at a time when India’s automotive industry is riding on a high note due to recent GST reforms and the festive season.
The October figures revealed Tata Motors' strong performance, making a strategic refinement after the demerger of Tata Motors into commercial and passenger vehicles as a separate entity. The October milestone marks not only TMPV’s best-ever monthly result but also a dominant lead over its closest competitors, maintaining significant positivity growth in India’s automotive landscape.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) recorded a retail sales figure of 74,705 units in October 2025. This figure substantially surpasses previous monthly performances, with September and August 2025 registering 41,151 and 38,286 units, respectively. This sudden surge in Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles’ sales can be attributed to various market factors that have fueled demand across India.
The most prominent factor is the recent tax reforms under GST 2.0. The festive season, especially during Navratri, Dhanteras, and Diwali, led to increased footfalls and dealer inventory build-ups, setting the stage for a sales bonanza in October 2025.
Tata Motors sold around 74,705 units, reflecting a dramatic 81% month-on-month growth compared to September’s 41,151 units. This leap is even more pronounced against August’s official sales of 38,286 units. This festive season and recent GST reforms have played a significant role in making Tata Motors one of the fastest-growing OEMs in India for passenger vehicles.
When compared to Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) and Hyundai, Tata Motors not only leads in monthly sales but has widened the competitive gap. For October, TMPV outperformed M&M by 7,905 units and Hyundai by an impressive 9,660 units, underscoring a clear shift in consumer preference and market leadership.

Tata Nexon continues to dominate the passenger vehicle market. In October 2025, 38,000 deliveries were registered, with an impressive 73% surge compared to the previous month's sales in September 2025. Nexon once again proved to be the backbone, with the Tata Punch, Tata Altroz, and Tata Harrier leading the way.
Tata Motors draws most sales from its diverse portfolio of SUVs, hatchbacks, and electric vehicles, appealing to a new generation of consumers prioritizing technology, safety, and innovative design. Dealer sources cite strong demand from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, a trend catalyzed by GST reforms and improved financing options.
October 2025 represents a defining month for Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, smashing sales records and reaffirming its market lead in India’s fiercely competitive auto market. With the Nexon, Tata Motors has set a new benchmark in retail excellence, energizing dealers and customers alike.
