Toyota Taisor: Toyota India has officially launched the much-awaited subcompact SUV, Taisor. The Toyota Taisor is essentially a redesigned Maruti Fronx with some significant upgrades on the exterior. Toyota Taisor Design and Features

Most of the design elements are carried over from the Maruti’s Crossover Fronx. The measurements and proportions of the Taisor are similar to the Fronx as well. However, the automaker has significantly upgraded the Fronx to give it a unique touch that differentiates it from the Maruti crossover. These design changes include a redesigned grille with Toyota badging, a new set of LED taillamps and an all-new LED daytime running lights

In terms of features, the Toyota Taisor boasts all the features that come with Fronx. These features include a big 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple Car Play and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, a wireless mobile charger, and a heads-up display.

In terms of safety, the compact SUV gets 6 airbags, an electronic stability program, ISOFIX mounts for child safety and hill hold assist. All these safety features except six airbags are provided as a standard in the Toyota Taisor.

Toyota Taisor: Powertrain

As far as the power is concerned, the Toyota Taisor comes equipped with a 1.2 litre, 4-cylinder K-series engine and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. These are the same engine options currently on offer with the Maruti Fronx. Transmission options of the Taisor include a 5-speed manual, AMT for the 1.2 litre NA engine and a 6-speed manual and automatic torque converter unit exclusive to the 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit.

The all-new Toyota Taisor comes with a price tag of Rs. 7.73 lakh which goes up to Rs. 13.03 lakh for the top-end 1.0 V AT DT model.
