Honda Cars in India in 2026
The Japanese automotive giant, Honda, has announced its plan for the Indian market. These models might also include some CBU units imported to India, which will act as a brand builder. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming cars from Honda to be launched in India in 2026.
1. Honda WRV (2026 Edition)

The most prominent product that Honda customers are willing to see on Indian roads is the upcoming generation of the Honda WRV. The 2026 edition of the Honda WRV, which is clubbed into the sub-4m SUV segment, will make its official debut in September 2026. As per the latest news, a recent test mule has been spied testing in India, showcasing a new front fascia design.
If this car launches in India, then the brand will price it from Rs 9 to 13 lakh, targeting rivals like Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon. This bold compact SUV might offer a rugged stance with LED headlights, sculpted lines, and a spacious cabin featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and automatic climate control.
2. Honda Elevate Facelift (Hybrid)

This launch might become one of the best comebacks for Honda cars in 2026. The 2026 Honda Elevate is ready to make its debut in 2026 with its all-new avatar. The current model is still one of the best-selling cars under the portfolio and conquers 50% of Honda’s market sales by selling the top-trim level in the Indian automotive market. This upcoming facelift model is set to arrive in the second quarter of 2026.
To make its car idle in the Indian market, Honda will use a 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle petrol engine that would produce punchy performance while giving tough competition to Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. However, the brand has not disclosed any specific details about its features, but we can expect a new compact mid-sized refreshed design and revamped interiors.
3. Honda City Next-Gen Facelift (Second-Facelift Version)

The fifth-gen Honda City facelift will now get an overall refreshed design for the 2026 edition. The next generation of the second facelift version of the Honda City is to be launched in India in mid-2026-27. This new model will feature a Civic-inspired exterior with sport-finished chrome accents and sleek DRLs from its predecessors.
Cabin upgrades include digital clusters, premium trims, and Honda Sensing for superior safety. Ideal for executives craving sedan poise in an SUV world, its subtle refresh teases global stance, while the hybrid's electric-only mode redefines efficiency for Indian highways.

4. Honda ZR-V

The Honda ZR-V hybrid will be one of the most popular SUVs in Q4 2026. The brand will launch as a CBU import unit for Indian customers. With import taxation, the car would be priced around a premium category crossover. Talking about its powertrain, the vehicle will come with a 2.0-liter petrol engine that will be able to generate 184 HP and 315 Nm of peak torque. The 2026 ZR-V will be putting much effort into sales to challenge the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq.
While getting behind the wheel, the Indian-based car would offer lavish interiors equipped with a dual-screen setup, such as a 9-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch cluster. For features, the ZR-V offers Bose audio, a panoramic sunroof, and a push-button shifter.
5. Honda Prelude (2026 New CBU Variant)

Honda is ready to make a comeback for its premium legacy, the Honda Prelude. The 2026 Honda Prelude would be one of the very first models that would be imported to India as a CBU unit. This upcoming car will launch in the first quarter of 2026. With limited numbers to be sold in India, this car will offer a 2-door coupe with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine under the hood.
This engine would be tweaked for the Indian market, offering a combined output of 200 HP and 315 Nm of peak torque. Global cues include sharper lights and twin exhausts. The brand will not feature a traditional transmission with the electric motors, but Honda’s S+ Shift system will simulate gear shifts.
6. Honda-O Based Electric SUV

This would be one of the top performers under Honda’s portfolio. The upcoming Honda O-based electric SUV is one of the few concept cars that was displayed at the Japan Mobility Show in 2025. This would be one of the very first electric cars that would be launching in India in Q1 2026. The 2026 Honda-O will be powered by an 80-90 kWh battery pack, claiming a 482 km range on a single charge.
Conclusion
These 2026 launches underscore Honda's Vision 2030 commitment to 10 new models, including EVs and seven SUVs, blending local innovation with global tech for India's evolving market. Stay tuned as test mules surface, promising a thrilling year ahead.
