2022 Mercedes Maybach S Class Launched at Rs 2.5 Crore in India

Mercedes Benz has launched the 2022 Mercedes Maybach S Class price Rs 2.5 crore in India. The German giant has launched the locally assembled Maybach S580 price at Rs 2.5 crore, while the more powerful Maybach S680 price is Rs 3.20 crore, as it will be a CBU import in India.

The Maybach S-Class debuts in India after one year of the launch of the latest generation of the Mercedes S Class price Rs 1.57 crore. The Maybach S-Class is an even more luxurious car compared to the S Class, which is considered the best car in the world.

This will be the flagship car from the brand in India and is the second model under the Maybach name after the Maybach GLS600 price at Rs 2.43 crore. This launch kicked off 2022 for Mercedes Benz in India as it has a few launches planned for this year.

2022 Mercedes Maybach S Class Design:

At the front it gets the signature, Maybach radiator grille, with the Maybach logo on the hood, C-pillar and the tailgate, while the air intakes down on the front bumper get heavy chrome embellishments.

From the sides is where one can notice the changes the Maybach S Class is visibly longer (300mm longer) than the standard S Class, which already is a huge car. There are different alloy wheels embellished with chrome and the S680 comes with an option of dual paint scheme for the exterior.

Inside, the Maybach S Class has an opulent cabin with even more legroom for the rear seat passengers, with electrically operated rear seats. The rear seat behind the co-driver seat can recline fully with a push of a button and has extendable leg rest. It also gets electrically operated rear doors for the first-time ever.

Owners can customise the interior upholstery in Maybach specific themes, while other features are carried over from the standard S Class.

Tech and Comfort:

The Maybach S-Class gets all the tech and equipment of the S-Class, while gaining from some specific upgrades. The Maybach gets level 2 ADAS features like lane keep assist, evasive steering assist, auto emergency brakes, lane change assist, along-with 13 airbags as standard.

It also gets features like, heated, ventilated seats with massage functions, panoramic sunroof, individual climate control, rear seat screens, Burmester 4D sound system, hands free parking and adaptive air suspension.

Engine and Transmission:

The Maybach S-Class is launched in two variants, the S 580, which gets a 4.0-litre, V8 mild-hybrid engine making 503hp and 700nm of torque. The mild hybrid system develops additional 20hp and 200nm of torque during hard acceleration.

The second variant is the S 680, which gets a massive, 6.0-litre, V12. This makes 612hp and 900nm of torque. The transmission duties are performed by a 9-speed automatic gearbox and the power is sent to all four wheels.

Mercedes will launch more electric cars under EQ brand. The Mercedes Benz EQS electric sedan may be the first Mercedes electric car in India in 2022.
