Besides the newly launched and best-selling Elevate SUV, Honda also has City and Amaze sedans in the Indian market. During the October month, the automaker registered the deliveries of around 9,400 Honda cars. The Japanese automaker is also working to meet the high demands for its SUV lineups, which is likely to grow more by Diwali.

Honda Elevate debuted at the beginning of this year with an ex-showroom price of Rs 11 lakh and Rs 16 lakh. The SUV rivals Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Kia Seltos. When releasing the Honda cars sales figure for October, Yuichi Murata, Director of Marketing and Sales Honda, said that there is strong demand during the festive season with a prominent response for the newly launched model, Honda Elevate, by Indian customers. The company is actively working to address this strong demand for Elevate SUV, he further added. Continuing the update, he cleared that Honda City and Amaze models are also getting a good response. As the Dhanteras and Diwali are near, the Honda dealerships are focusing on increasing the deliveries of Honda cars across the country.

The Japanese automaker exported 3,683 units last month, 1,678 units up from last year and 1,310 units up from the previous month. Honda registered a nearly 55% increase in its export figure compared to October 2022 and 65% from the previous month.

Honda is aiming to extend its India car lineup. The automaker has also announced the introduction of five new SUV models in the Indian market, including an electric SUV. The EV will be positioned as a zero-emission iteration of the Honda Elevate SUV. The Japanese carmaker has refocused on strengthening its position in India when the YoY sales have increased in the last few years and demand for domestic customers is also high.
