Honda is all set to launch the upcoming Activa 7Gin India early next year. The successor to the Honda 6G is expected to bring refreshed styling and a modern design with additional feature upgrades, a variety of colour options, and enhanced rider convenience. While maintaining the reliability factor of its predecessor, the Activa 7G aims to strengthen the brand’s strong presence in the scooter space. Let’s break down the key updates and changes expected on the Activa 7G.

Improved Design

Automakers will introduce the Activa 7G with modern styling and a fresh design. While the overall silhouette might remain the same, there will be some added touches and new design cues. For instance, the front fascia is expected to be sharper and more modern.

As for the rear design, it is not expected to undergo any major changes, though the brand may add fine touches and chrome elements. From the side, it will feature new 7G badging and some tweaks to the body panels.

Features to Expect

Given the trend in modern scooters, it is speculated that Honda might introduce a digital or semi-digital console to add a touch of modernity to their classic commuter design. The rest of the features-such as a silent starter, engine start-stop button, and a dual-function switch that opens the fuel lid and seat-may remain similar to the Activa 6G. Moreover, the Activa 7G is likely to retain the same wheel setup: a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear.

Engine and Power

The Activa 7G is likely to offer the same 109cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as Honda’s reliable unit known for its smooth performance and fuel efficiency. On the current model, this engine produces 7.6bhp and 8.8Nm of peak torque, offering good pickup and a claimed top speed of 85 km/h. The new version is expected to deliver similar numbers, with a mileage of around 40–45 kmpl. With a 5.3-litre fuel tank, it can offer a range of up to 250 km on a full tank. Some tuning upgrades may be expected on the Activa 7G.

Price and Rivals

The brand is expected to introduce it at competitive pricing, likely between Rs. 80,000 and Rs. 90,000, positioning it in the budget mid-segment scooter category. At this price point, it will directly compete with the TVS Jupiter 110,Suzuki Access 125andHero Xoom 110, all known for their city performance and strong mileage. However, the Activa remains an established name in the scooter space, offering reliability and smooth urban commuting. Honda will probably aim for a balanced approach with the Activa 7G, delivering value and everyday practicality to stand out among its rivals.

Verdict

The Activa 7G is shaping up to be a refined upgrade that blends modern styling, practical features and Honda's trusted performance. While major mechanical changes may be minimal, improved design elements, a possible digital console, and better convenience features could make it a stronger city scooter. If Honda adds smarter tech or mild tuning, the 7G can easily maintain its market dominance.
