Honda Car Sales for March 2025 Revealed: Domestic Sales Up by 2%

Honda Cars India announced its domestic sales of 7,228 units in March 2025, witnessing a slight YoY growth of 2.22% compared to March 2024, where the automaker sold 7071 units. The automaker also saw a consistent MoM of a 28.7% increase over February 2025, when the brand generated sales of 5,616 units. With the recent sales figures, the automaker has seen a positive response from Indian customers. 

However, Honda registered a slight decline in terms of global exports. The automaker exported 4,656 units in March 2025 compared to 6,860 units in the same month last year, showcasing a 32.13% decline. The cumulative sales of Honda Cars in March 2025, recorded at 11,884 units, dropped by 14.69% to 13,931 units in March 2024. 

In FY2025, Honda Cars India sold 1,26,151 units, slightly higher than the 1,24,173 units in FY2024, showcasing a 1.59% hike. The key driver for positive sales figures during the previous fiscal year was the increased exports, which grew by 60.22% YoY. In FY2024, the automaker exported 37,589 units, while 60,226 units were exported in FY2025. 

In comparison, the domestic sales figure of Honda remained stressed. The FY2025 sales decreased to 65,925 units from 86,584 units in FY2024, a noticeable decline of 23.86%. Interestingly, the India-made Honda Elevate is getting a positive response and has already touched record booking numbers in Japan. The third-generation Honda Amaze has also been a major offering from the automaker and gained a promising response in India and other markets.
