Jaguar Land Rover announces the launch of 2021 Land Rover Defender 90

Land Rover Defender 90 priced at Rs 76.57 lakhs (ex-showroom, India)

● Land Rover Defender 90 pricing starts at Rs 76.57 lakhs for the petrol variant and goes up to Rs 1.12 crores for the diesel version.● The luxury SUV comes in three variants, Standard, X-Dynamic, and Defender X.

While announcing the pricing of the Defender 90 and Defender 110 in October 2020, Jaguar Land Rover had stated that the deliveries of the Defender 90 would commence in 2021.

What to expect in the Land Rover Defender 90?

The Defender 90 is a three-door version of the Defender and has a wheelbase of 2587mm, less than the Defender 110 by 435mm. The Defender 90 is a shorter vehicle measuring 4583mm in length.

While the Defender 110 has three rows of seats, the Defender 90 is a 5-seater with an additional front-jump seat as an optional arrangement.

While the Defender 90 is available in three variants, there is not much to choose between the Standard and the X-Dynamic versions, with the differences restricted to cosmetics. However, Defender X comes with better off-road-focused technology.

The Engine Options – Land Rover Defender 90

The Land Rover Defender 90 comes equipped with three engine options. All its variants get an AWD powertrain. The engine options are as under.

All the variants come equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission system.

At present, the Land Rover Defender 90 does not have any competitors in the Indian market, but one can expect some competition soon from the Jeep Wrangler 4x4.
