Being one of the largest markets for two-wheelers, Indian two-wheeler market dynamics keep on changing. As April has started, buyers and enthusiasts altogether are looking up for new debuts by their preferred brands. This article covers a list of some of the highly expected debuts of two-wheelers in April.
Expected Launch Date - 6th April
Ather Energy has already made up the hype for the unveiling of the upcoming Rizta on 6th April, 2024. This e-scooter will be the second offering from the company after the 450 lineup (including 450S, 450X, and 450 Apex), and will be competing with TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 X+.
As claimed by Ather, Rizta will be a family scooter with remarkable spacious storage capacity, and better comfort with a bigger seat. The scooter will be unveiled on Ather Community Day 2024 on 6th April.
Hence, potential buyers can wait till 6th April to get a detailed insight into features and specifications offered by the company. We can expect the e-scooter to be priced between Rs 1.25 Lakh to Rs 1.45 Lakh (ex-showroom). However, pre-booking for the e-scooter has already started at just Rs 999 (fully refundable).
Expected Launch Date- Mid April
BMW R 1300 GS has been one of the most anticipated arrivals on Indian roads since its global debut last year.
This powerhouse is all set to compete with other well established rivals like Triumph Tiger 1200 and Ducati Multistrada V4 in the adventure tourer segment. Equipped with advanced features, 1,300 cc boxer engine and frame featuring die-cast aluminium subframe, the bike can be said to replace R 1250 GS. We can expect this two-wheeler to be priced up to Rs 24 Lakh(ex-showroom).
Expected Launch Date- 2nd Week of April
Ampere has been in the news for its upcoming new e-scooter model, NXG. The e-scooter has already become a trend to follow and talk about, all because of its rigorous promotional method of measuring roads from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
After completing its K2K journey, Ampere has showcased its calibre to be one of the most reliable upcoming scooters in the Indian two-wheeler landscape. Once available in the market, the e-scooter will be expected to compete with Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450X and iQube Electric, at an expected price range of Rs 1.35 Lakh to Rs 1.55 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Expected Launch Date- Late April
Likely to be launched by the end of April 2024, Pulsar 400 is another offering from Bajaj. The bike is expected to have a 400 cc engine, which can give mileage of up to 47 kmpl with a maximum speed said to be of 160 kmph. With an expected price range of Rs 2 lakhs and Rs 2.1 lakhs (ex-showroom), once launched in the market, the bike will be competing with Hero Mavrick 440, Honda Hness CB350, KTM 125 Duke, and Yezdi Roadster.
Expected Launch - Late April
The style of Classic 350 Bobber is expected to be inspired by the Classic 350. With some upgraded and revised features, Royal Enfield will avail this bike with the same 349cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine available in Meteor 350, Hunter 350, and Classic 350. Expected to be launched anytime by the end of April 2024, this motorcycle, once landed in the market, will give tough competition to Jawa Perak and the Jawa 42 Bobber, at an expected price of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.10 Lakh (ex-showroom).
