Mahindra February Sales Growth: 19% SUV Sales Rise

Mahindra & Mahindra had a strong February 2025, with total auto sales hitting 83,702 vehicles—a solid 15% jump compared to the same month last year. Their SUVs led the charge, selling 50,420 units domestically, up 19% from February 2024.

Combined with exports, utility vehicle sales reached 52,386 units. The commercial vehicle segment showed mixed results: sales of lighter trucks (2T-3.5T) grew 9% to 19,155 units, but smaller trucks (under 2T) dropped 21% to 3,290 units. Meanwhile, heavier trucks and MHCVs climbed 23% to 1,381 units.

Exports stole the spotlight, nearly doubling to 3,061 units (a 99% surge) compared to February 2024. For the fiscal year so far, overseas shipments are up 32% at 30,566 units, reflecting Mahindra’s growing global reach. The company also hit a milestone, crossing 50,000 SUV sales domestically for the fourth time in six months. Year-to-date passenger vehicle sales now stand at 503,439 units, rising 20% over last year.

Looking ahead, Mahindra is banking on its premium SUV offerings and the buzz around upcoming electric models like the BE 6 and XEV 9e to stay ahead in India’s fast-changing auto market.
