Mahindra teases 5 Electric SUVs ahead of its August 15 launch: 4 out of 5 are "Born-Electric"!!

Mahindra expects to have a strong lineup of five electric SUVs, including four "born electric" models by 2027.

Mahindra has disclosed that it would make a significant announcement on its new lineup of "Born Electric" SUVs on August 15, 2022. A teaser for five new electric SUVs that would premiere on that day has now been released by the automaker. Up to five electric SUVs, including four from the born electric line, would be available for purchase in the nation by 2027, according to a prior statement from Mahindra. However, Mahindra has stated that the new XUV400 EV will be unveiled in September, indicating that one of the concepts may be a design study for a future EV.

The concepts were shown by Mahindra in profile, with the first image possibly showing a compact SUV with svelte proportions and a flowing profile that ends at the base of a sharply slanted back window. The overall appearance suggests that the crossover is contemporary.

In the second concept, a mid-size SUV with a more conventional SUV stance is probably being previewed. Visible prominent design features include a flattish and upright front, a roofline with a moderate taper, and an upright tailgate. The third appears to be a compact SUV preview as well, although it has a more vertical top and less taper at the back pillar.

The roofline of the fourth SUV shown is a full-fledged SUV-coupe, elegantly flowing from the a-pillar to the rear of the car. Where the tapering rear pillar meets the SUV's trailing edge, a light component appears to be present. Meanwhile, the front has a straight nose.

With an even more svelte profile and a fastback-like shape, the fifth SUV in the lineup appears to be the sportiest of the group. The nose is distinct from the other SUV-coupe concept, resembling the second and third concepts, and the roof line is also significantly flatter.

While the business has partnered with Volkswagen to research the usage of its MEB electric platform components in its line of SUVs, Mahindra has provided little details about its new "born electric" range of SUVs. We may anticipate that more information on the relationship, which the company previously stated was proceeding as expected, will be confirmed on the day the SUV makes its appearance.
