In February 2024 as usual we see Maruti Suzuki Car coming on top in terms of sales but the most noticeable contender in the market is Tata Punch. According to the latest sales data released by Auto Punditz, Maruti Suzuki's Wagon R emerged as the top-selling car model for February 2024, with a total of 19,412 units sold. The versatile hatchback recorded a significant 15% increase compared to the same period last year, demonstrating its enduring popularity among Indian car buyers.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors made waves with its SUV offering, the Punch, securing the second position in the sales rankings. With 18,438 units sold, the Punch witnessed a staggering 65% year-on-year growth, showcasing Tata's prowess in the competitive SUV segment.
Most Selling Car Model in February 2024

Maruti Suzuki maintained a strong presence across various segments, with models like Baleno, Dzire, Vitara Brezza, and Ertiga securing notable positions in the top ten. The Ertiga, in particular, witnessed a remarkable surge of 140% in sales compared to February 2023, reflecting the growing demand for multi-utility vehicles in the market.
Hyundai also made its mark with the Creta and Venue SUVs, which witnessed significant year-on-year growth of 47% and 103%, respectively. However, the i20 Elite hatchback experienced a notable decline of 45% in sales compared to the previous year, highlighting shifting consumer preferences in the hatchback segment.
Mahindra's Scorpio and Bolero SUVs continued to perform well, with both models registering positive growth compared to last year. Additionally, the XUV 700 saw a commendable 45% increase in sales, reaffirming Mahindra's stronghold in the SUV market.
Tata's Nexon and Tiago, although slightly down compared to last year, maintained respectable positions in the sales rankings, indicating sustained consumer interest in these models.
Among the newcomers, Toyota's Hyryder SUV made a noteworthy entry, garnering attention with 5,601 units sold in its debut month.
