Upcoming Renault Cars in India

Some models are confirmed, while some are still being speculated. These upcoming cars have everything you need under the nameplate of Renault. Whether you want a high ground clearance or stunning interiors, every car has been catered to every driving preference.

1. Renault Kiger (Kardian)

Renault Kardian

The current Renault Kiger has been given a makeover in the new Kardian for the South American markets. It is a compact SUV with a dynamic design that offers distinct features to see. The Kardian is built on an updated CMF-B modular platform and will share a few aesthetics with the existing Kiger. To be launched in India, the brand will somehow cut costs on a few dynamics to cater to the affordable pricing.

From the front, the car is incorporated with an LED lighting signature, with rugged bumpers and a refreshed grille. While getting inside the car, your attention would be caught by an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen. Under the hood, the car is powered by a 1.0L TCe, 3-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 120 HP and 220 Nm of maximum torque. But we might expect a refined turbo-petrol engine for the Indian debut that can generate 125 HP and 220 Nm of maximum torque.

 2. Renault Bigster

Renault Bigster

The upcoming Renault Bigster will be the answer to its competitors dominating India’s SUV market. For the Indian market, Bigster is built upon an innovative extension of the Duster’s platform. Being a full-size SUV, it offers a spacious cabin and an easy three-row seat configuration for big Indian families. We can expect that the all-new Bigster has already gone into production and might be revealed later this year.

Built on Renault’s CMF-B platform, the SUV offers a rugged body design with an assertive styling. The vehicle features bold geometric lines adorned with chrome accents and signature headlamps with Y-shaped DRLs. The most prominent feature of the Bigster is its range of hybrid and electrified powertrains. The SUV comes with a 1.2L petrol engine that would generate 153 hp and 170 Nm of peak torque. Although we can expect an optional AMT before its official debut in India.

3. Renault Duster

Renault Duster

The compact SUV will receive an all-new design as an update for the next-gen edition. The upcoming Renault Duster is expected to launch within 12 months of the existing petrol model. There is no official statement from the brand about which powertrain will be offered in India. Sources revealed that beyond the standard petrol and turbo-petrol engines, the car will also get strong-hybrid variants. A standard version will have a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild hybrid system that churns out 130 HP of maximum power.

Another engine will be a 1.6L strong hybrid petrol engine that will produce 140 HP of power and will be mated with 2 electric motors powered by a 1.2 kWh battery pack. In addition to these powertrain configurations, there is a petro-CNG variant that is being considered for the Indian market.

4. Renault Boreal

Renault Boreal

Renault Boreal will represent a new signature of the SUV lineup in India. Boreal will be based on the latest step in Renault’s international development strategy for India. A 1.3L turbocharged flex-fuel engine with a maximum torque of 270 Nm and 160 HP will power the vehicle. This mill comes mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission system.

The Renault Boreal has been unveiled worldwide, but the company has not yet confirmed its Indian launch. Based on the resemblance to Dacia Bigster, Boreal will get Y-shaped LED DRLs along with dual-tone alloy wheels, contrast-colored ORVMs, and functional roof rails. For safety, the car will boast 6 airbags, a seatbelt reminder, a speed alert system, and ABS with EBD as standard.

5. Renault Kwid Facelift

Renault Kwid Facelift

The Renault Kwid facelift version will be Renault’s entry-level offering with a more refreshed cabin and more features. For the Indian markets, the car will be equipped with a 1.0L Smart efficiency engine that delivers 69 HP and 92.5 NM of torque. An AMT gearbox will also be available for a smoother and more effortless drive. The car has standout designs such as a high ground clearance of 184 mm, body protection cladding, and taillamps with LED light guides.

The Renault Kwid is equipped with new-age safety features to drive more safely and maneuver easily. Essential features like the rearview camera transmit a rearview to the screen when you put the Kwid into reverse mode, making your maneuvers easier and safer. Inside the cabin, you may get an LED digital instrument cluster that provides a clear instant view to monitor the Renault Kwid. 15 different safety features are available as a standard option, such as ABS, rear seat belt reminder, speed alert warning, EBD with brake assist, and many more.

6. Renault Kwid EV

Renault Kwid EV

The upcoming Renault Kwid EV will be a sister product to the Dacia Spring EV, which made its global debut in 2024. A recent spy shot surfaced from the Brazil region, showing that the car is in its final production. This also signifies that the Kwid EV will be debuted as an affordable electric vehicle in India. From the recent spy leaks, we can see that the car gets an all-new fascia with slim horizontal LED daytime running lights. The main headlamps are now positioned on the lower section of the bumper.

We expect that when the Kwid EV launches in India, it will have the same power configuration as that of the Spring EV. This comes with two iterations, a 45 HP motor and a more powerful 65 HP as peak power. A 26.8 kWh battery is likely to be seen on the all-new Kwid EV.

7. Renault Megane E-Tech

Megane E-Tech

The Renault Megane E-Tech was first displayed at the 2025 Qualcomm Snapdragon Auto Tech Day. Megane E-Tech is the brand’s first answer to rivals like the Hyundai Kona Electric. The brand had been evaluating the car for an Indian launch earlier, but at the moment, there is no update on those plans. The key highlights of this car include safety, cloud-based services, ADAS, digital cockpit, etc.

The EV bears the new refreshed Renault design philosophy with aggressive LED DRLs on the front. In the global market, the vehicle is underpinned by the CMF EV platform. However, we can expect that the car will offer two battery pack configurations for the Indian market. There will be an option to choose between a 40 kWh and a 60 kWh battery pack that can generate 130 HP with 250 Nm of torque and 218 HP with 300 Nm of maximum torque. Hope when the India launch is there, we will experience the EV in such guise.

8. Renault Arkana

Renault Arkana

The Renault Arkana is a 5-seater crossover with a coupe design. It has already been launched in the global market, but there is no official confirmation for the Indian launch yet. The car is powered by a 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 150 HP, mated with a CVT automatic gearbox. The car offers all-wheel drive too in the global market, but will ensure front-wheel drive for the Indian market.

Arkana blends sleek coupe lines with a sturdy SUV look. The car does not compromise on safety, as it offers a host of safety features as standard, such as the Automatic Emergency Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition. For the global market, the car comes with 3 different variants, such as Evolution, Techno, and RS Line.

Conclusion

Renault’s upcoming lineup caters to every need. All the cars mentioned above blend innovation, style, and practicality. Each model promises to elevate the driving experience, reinforcing Renault's status as a forward-thinking and customer-oriented French automaker brand.
