Audi A5 Highlights
Audi has launched its second-generation premium sedan A5 in 2016 in three body options- Cabriolet, Coupe and Styleback. The first generation of this car came to India in only the Styleback model; however, the German automaker decided to release the present batch here in both Styleback and Cabriolet body types. The sedan remains based on Volkswagen MLB (Modular Longitudinal Matrix) architecture and sports a sleek exterior, refined engine, and luxurious interiors. A5 is available in two variants-Sportback 40 TDI (diesel) and S5 (petrol). You get Audi’s signature massive hexagonal grille, aluminium covers for the ORVMs, redesigned exquisitely detailed LED headlamps, and a muscular bonnet on the front face. The rear end looks phenomenal with swept-back taillamps and with dynamic turn indicators. The car runs on 18 inch forged aluminium alloys offering a sophisticated stance.
Audi has introduced a luxurious cabin in A5 so that long-distance trips can pass away like a breeze. The ergonomic interior is made in premium quality black upholstery with brushed silver finish on the dashboard. Besides, you also get a large panoramic sunroof, electric front seats, three-zone climate control, a multi-functional steering wheel with A5 badging, and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit serving as the instrument cluster. Beating at the heart of the upscale S5 configuration is a BS-IV compliant, 2995cc, 6 Cylinders In V Shape, petrol engine. The highly efficient oil burner features direct fuel injection, turbocharging and Audi valve-lift system for mighty performance. It churns out a mammoth 349 bhp @ 5400 rpm, and a peak torque of 500 Nm @ 1370 rpm. An 8-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all the wheels for a power-packed ride right from the start of the engine. A5 can sprint to 100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds. Finally, if you want a luxurious sedan with a refined engine sending power linearly to the wheels, then A5 is the best choice for you.
