Ferrari has unveiled the Ferrari SP51 Supercar

The SP51 supercar, based on the 812 GTS, has been introduced by Ferrari. The Italian manufacturer has created its 51st special project vehicle for a Taiwanese customer, which boasts distinctive external and interior stylistic aspects.

Ferrari SP51: powertrain

The SP51 uses the same underpinnings as the 812 GTS and is powered by the same 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 800hp and 718Nm. The SP51's technical details have not been released, although it is projected to sprint from 0-100kph in 3.0 seconds and achieve a peak speed of 340kph.

Ferrari SP51 Design

Some of the new external elements of the SP51 created by the Ferrari designing center include reworked headlamps, diamond-cut wheels, and the distinctive 'Rosso Passionale' color scheme. It also has a distinctive blue and white livery that covers the whole length of the supercar as an homage to the 1955 Ferrari 410 S race vehicle.

The SP51, unlike the 812 GTS, does not have a folding hardtop and hence stays roofless. Engineers incorporated front and rear vents to assist enhance downforce in order to make the SP51 as aerodynamic as possible.

The carbon fiber bodywork and the transverse-mounted carbon wing that works as a bridge between the two flying buttresses are also important elements. The inside of the SP51 is similar to that of the 812 GTS, but for the conspicuous red Alcantara trim.

Ferrari in India

The Italian supercar manufacturer has released the 296 GTB in India for Rs 5.40 crore (ex-showroom, India). Ferrari also introduced its new premium SUV, the Purosangue, which will arrive in India in 2023.
