New Electric Scooters from Hero launched. They have upgraded in Optima and NYX models.

Hero Electric is a leading Indian manufacturer of electric scooters. Their scooters offer eco-friendly and cost-effective solutions for urban mobility. With a range of models including Optima, Nyx, and Photon, Hero Electric is committed to providing clean and sustainable transportation options to its customers.
Three new electric scooters from Hero have been introduced. They include the Nyx CX5.0, the Optima CX5.0, and the Optima CX2.0. While the other two scooters have dual LFP batteries, the Optima CX2.0 only has a single LFP battery.
After 15 years of unrelenting dedication to establishing India's electric vehicle ecosystem, we are fully committed to achieving the nation's electric mobility mission," stated Naveen Munjal, MD of Hero Electric. Our constant efforts are directed towards making this vision a reality as soon as possible.
Every one of our products has gone through a rigorous R&D process with the main goal of guaranteeing client safety. Alongside this, we have also collaborated closely with our partners to meet the nation's growing demand for EVs. We are pleased to report that our manufacturing facilities will produce over 1 million automobiles yearly as a result.
The Optima CX.20 provides a range of 89 km per charge, with a 2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The scooter's available 1.9 kW motor allows for a top speed of 48 kmph. Within four and a half hours, the battery can be fully charged. With a 93 kg weight and a respectable 165 mm ground clearance, it is a lightweight scooter. A combined braking system, a side-stand sensor, a drive mode lock and reverse roll protection are further features.
The Optima CX5.0, on the other hand, has a 1.9 kW motor that is comparable to the one in the CX2.0 and a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery with a range of 113 km on a single charge. The CX5.0 weighs 103 kg, which is 10 kg more than the CX2.0, and the dual charger system allows the battery to be fully charged in three hours. Like the Optima CX2.0, the CX5.0 features a ground clearance of 165 mm.
The Nyx CX5.0 has a 48 kmph top speed but the same battery and motor as the Optima CX5.0. With a twin charger setup, the battery can be fully charged in three hours and has the same range of 113 km on a single charge. The Nyx has a higher ground clearance (175 mm) and is heavier (106 kg) than the Optima CX5.0.
With the help of a strategic alliance with the Mahindra Group, the company is now building a brand-new, sophisticated facility in Ludhiana. It also has plans to establish a new, greenfield plant in Rajasthan with a 2 million unit annual production capacity.
